The Intranet is a network or consortium of local area networks (LANs usually restricted), used by an organization / institution / company to facilitate communication and access to in-house. Sometimes the term refers only to the network of services more visible (the system of sites that form a web space inside), while in other meanings can be understood as the system of public utility services and information accessible from the internal network.

Its features / facilities / layout are similar to those of the Internet (which was itself started as 'internal system' in the days of ARPANET) and attend the same 'logic of capital' (mainly as a showcase of images), but out to be uglier and less quality for the lack of 'direct' (the reality of the moment) and then the work of coding behind it, limiting the system to simple information and communications service for high static.
This situation of 'empty', both on the ideas as practical applications (palliatives which are currently represented by investment in the development of radio / TV internal), therefore requires new professionals that deal to innovate and stimulate this area communicational, in order to improve the flow of work and improve the business-management-control use of information within it, push it to its best. Should make it clear to companies that "there is a good external communication without good internal communication," that the latter may bring them an economic advantage as well as practical and functional, making it necessary to implement and develop 'command centers' and 'internal search engines' (even more important in the Internet, given the specific research) appropriate.
